Girls Coaches Mandatory Preseason Meeting/Clinic @ Quinnipiac:

Hamden, ConnecticutQuinnipiac Head Coach Tricia Fabbri and her Cinderella Lady Bobcats drove the competition mad last March with one of most incredible runs in NCAA Tournament history. The Lady Bobcats became just the fourth 12th seed in NCAA Division I women's basketball history to advance to the Sweet 16 before falling just short to the eventual NCAA National Champions South Carolina.

Coach Fabbri and Quinnipiac will kick-off their 2017-18 campaign with the kids and coaches of Connecticut Basketball, Saturday, October 21, 2017, further demonstrating why their program is beloved across the state and the country.

"Coach Fabbri and the Lady Bobcats share our vision of teaching winning habits and getting young people prepared for life through basketball,” Connecticut Basketball President & CEO, Gary Collins said this morning.  "We’re both flattered and incredibly grateful that the leader of nationally recognized program like Coach Fabbri is willing to take time out her busy schedule to instruct our area youth and coaches—a gesture which personifies her commitment to developing the student-athlete."

In 2016-17, Fabbri guided Quinnipiac to its sixth-straight 20-win season, fifth-straight conference championship game, sixth-straight trip to a national postseason tournament and its third-consecutive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship. Fabbri boasts 379 career wins including a 158-46 record from 2011 through 2017. In addition, Quinnipiac is 39-3 over the last three seasons on its home court and 76-13 in four seasons in MAAC games.

Boys Mandatory Preseason Coaches Meeting/Clinic @ Wesleyan:

Middletown, ConnecticutQuinnipiac Head Coach Tricia Fabbri and her Cinderella Lady Bobcats drove the competition mad last March with one of most incredible runs in NCAA Tournament history. The Lady Bobcats became just the fourth 12th seed in NCAA Division I women's basketball history to advance to the Sweet 16.

A little further north up I-91 in Middletown, Joe Reilly has Wesleyan poised to fly even higher after another historic season in which the Cardinals advanced to NCAA Tournament for the second time in the past three seasons--and captured the Little Three title outright in 2016-17.

Coach Fabbri and Coach Reilly--both widely considered two of the finest coaches in the nation--will lead Connecticut Basketball in kicking-off their 2017-18 campaign with the girls coaches and players clinic scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Hamden at Quinnipiac and the boys slated for Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Middletown at Wesleyan

"We’re both flattered and incredibly grateful that the leader of nationally recognized program like Coach Fabbri is willing to take time out her busy schedule to instruct our area girls players and coaches—a gesture which personifies her commitment to developing the student-athlete." Connecticut Basketball President & CEO, Gary Collins said this morning. "As to Coach Reilly, he and the Cardinals  share our vision of teaching winning habits and getting young people prepared for life through basketball.  This is why the Wesleyan program will continue to be one of our closest partners.”

Both clinics are free. The Quinnipiac clinic with Coach Fabbri is mandatory for the girls coaches who may bring their players.  The Wesleyan clinic with Coach Reilly is mandatory for all boys coaches who may likewise bring their players.

These clinics will also be open to all of Connecticut's youth basketball coaches who are interested in attending.  Registration for the event opens at http://ctbball.org on September 5, 2017.
